As the season of dreams wakes into the season of sowing, we must turn towards planning our growing year.

What will we grow, what will we tend, what wants be cultivated by us this year?

Planning our garden has not only metaphorical implications but requires practical knowledge to prepare, plant, and care for thriving home gardens and food systems.

We will get an opportunity to create our home garden plans and set ourselves up with a planting guide for the year ahead. Over the course of the day, we will learn seed songs and spells to cast over our seeds as they grow to ensure growth, vitality and magic inside and out.

This class will cover all the essentials of indoor seedings systems and outdoor garden preparation, as well as benefits of different types of garden beds, soil care, and season extension systems.

Hands-on skills will include making homemade potting soil and preparing it for seeding, potting up, transplanting and direct sowing techniques.  Everyone will take home a flat of freshly planted seeds to care for until transplanting time comes in later spring and pockets full of seeds.
